Samuel Wilkinson was born in Devon in 1977.In 2002 he graduated in furniture and related product design from Ravensboure College of Art & Design, in the same year he won RSA award and D&AD New Blood. In 2003 he began working at Fitch:London and at PearsonLloyd as Freelance Industrial Designer. One year later he began working at Tangerine as Freelance Industrial Designer. In 2007 started Samuel Wilkinson industrial design studio. In 2008 he co-designed L’arbre de Flonville in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has received many awards, including: (2002) D&AD New Blood, (2002) RSA Design Award, (2010) Best British Design (Shortlisted), (2011) Brit Insurance Design Of the Year, London Design Museum (2011) Brit Insurance Product Award, London Design Museum, (2011) D&AD Black Pencil, (2011) Eco Designer of the Year and (2011) Index Award (Finalist). |
