Pinecone is a suspension and table lamp, characterized by a diffuser produced using the ancient caged blown glass technique: the glass master blows the glass bubble into his mouth into a metal cage, which contains its natural expansion only partially. In this way, the final artifact is partly retained by the cage and partly escapes it, creating a play of tension that generates an object suspended in the act of coming out of its constraint; the cage is further embellished with a galvanic treatment that enhances its appearance, making it shiny and bright. The transparent version, in particular, allows the observer to read a double level of structure, multiplying the scenographic effect, and the intertwining of the metal basket projects a kaleidoscopic play of shadows onto the surrounding surfaces. On the contrary, the white version delicately follows the cage and emphasizes its geometries, generating an elegant and pleasant diffused light. It is a highly suggestive luminaire with a strong impact both when switched off and on.
