Nori

Nori is the new shelf designed by Raffaella Mangiarotti, whose shape recalls the stylised silhouette of a seagull in flight. This speaks the aesthetic language of nature, strongly expressive, with which he tells of lightness and freedom. The seagull is a common symbol associated with the sea, able to evoke memories and sensations linked to images of beaches and sea breezes. The very name of the shelf emphasises the evocative the involvement of the senses, recalling the characteristic scent and delicately salty aroma of the seaweed whose name it bears. Used in Japanese cuisine, nori seaweed is a good source of nutrients such as protein, vitamins and minerals.The Nori shelf, so charged with symbolism despite its formal simplicity, not only adds a decorative element to the space, but can also emotionally transport people to the sea, creating a relaxing and evocative atmosphere within any environment. Thanks to its versatility and simplicity it adapts to spaces of different natures and also on any style of furniture, whether minimal or rich and colourful.
