Winner of the Good Design Award 2009. Patented product for living, bedrooms, design bedrooms. A bed for unexpected guests. Huggy is perfect if sudden guests arrive and need an extra bed. A mattress wrapped in a cone and inserted into a small cylindrical base creates a wraparound design seat with soft armrests. Pulling out the base, the mattress unrolls automatically and becomes a comfortable emergency bed; the base is turned upside down and serves as a useful bedside table.

| Brit Leissler, born in Germany, has lived in London since 2005. On his website, he says: "Brit travels a lot, loves all forms of eccentricity, combines points and has fun in interesting conversations with strange and wonderful people." He is an old friend of Lago. In December 2006 he participated for the first time in a workshop in Lagostudio, then a product design student at the Royal College of Art in London, in the summer of 2007 he returned to Italy for a second Lagostudio workshop during which he designed the Huggy chair. His education also includes design studies at the International School of Design in Cologne and at the California College of Arts in San Francisco. For several years he worked as a designer for various companies in Germany and Switzerland. |
