Defined by a refined Made in Italy design, the collection stands out for its lightweight structure and formal clarity, making it ideal for enhancing any outdoor space, from private gardens to expansive terraces. Each element features a lightweight yet robust aluminium shell, paired with a total outdoor padding system that is fully draining, breathable, and weather-resistant. The textile covers, available in a wide selection of contemporary fabrics and colours inspired by nature, are securely fixed to the structure yet easily removable for cleaning or seasonal storage. With configurable seating modules, also usable as pouf, along with backrests and armrests, Dandy offers flexible, customisable solutions for both residential and contract outdoor environments.

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

The upholstered sofa is an example of Italian excellence. RODA revolutionizes the concept of sofa introducing DANDY, the first “total outdoors” upholstered sofa. The performance of an outdoor sofa is often inversely proportional both to comfort and to aesthetics. RODA overcomes this difficulty by using three different types of polyurethanes which, enclosed in a 3D net, generate an “air cushion”. The padding is fixed to the light structure by elastic belts made of synthetic material. The structure, made entirely of aluminum and 304 stainless steel small parts and coated with a polyester paint, ensures strength and durability. The adjustable feet allow the placement of the sofa on every surface. In DANDY every detail was studied to offer the best performance and comfort along with a unique design aesthetics. The covers can be made with all the outdoor fabrics of RODA collections. The removable DANDY fabric covers are fixed to the structure through totally hidden straps of Velcro.

HYDRO DRAINING STUFFING:

The water draining technology applied to RODA cushions enables the water to drain out fast and makes for the continuous recirculation of plenty or air, so that the stuffing dries up quickly, avoiding the risk of mould formation and product deterioration. Hydro draining seat cushions use a stuffing made from open-cell draining polyurethane, enclosed in a transpiring net; the back cushions use a special eco-friendly natural fibre flock, similar to hemp and highly resistant to the atmospheric agents. The stuffing is enclosed in a technical net whereby the fibre is subdivided into several “chambers” resulting in a variable density cushion, which retains its volume over time and makes for improved comfort. The bottom of both seat and back cushions uses a mesh that enables the water to flow out and the air to penetrate inside the cushions.
