DANDY is the new revolutionary outdoor system by RODA, which includes all the functions of a textile sofa for indoor use, so intimate and familiar, in a completely new proposal for outdoor. Designed by the unmistakable talent of Rodolfo Dordoni, DANDY is characterized by the versatility of its design, the technological innovation processes and the highest quality of materials used. The "soul” of DANDY consists of an aluminum frame, lightweight but extremely strong, hidden by a padding with a "total outdoor technology " completely draining , breathable, and weather resistant. DANDY’s covers are available in a wide range of fabrics, with an outstanding natural beauty and an appealing color palette. The covers, fixed to the structure, are easily removable to be stored during the winter season, or to be cleaned. DANDY is a modular project that allows multiple compositions, in order to enjoy the conviviality and to meet the various needs of customization and space. The seat and backrests / armrest are indeed configurable for any environment, from the most intimate and cozy, to the widest and lively, from private to contract.

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

The upholstered sofa is an example of Italian excellence. RODA revolutionizes the concept of sofa introducing DANDY, the first “total outdoors” upholstered sofa. The performance of an outdoor sofa is often inversely proportional both to comfort and to aesthetics. RODA overcomes this difficulty by using three different types of polyurethanes which, enclosed in a 3D net, generate an “air cushion”. The padding is fixed to the light structure by elastic belts made of synthetic material. The structure, made entirely of aluminum and 304 stainless steel small parts and coated with a polyester paint, ensures strength and durability. The adjustable feet allow the placement of the sofa on every surface. In DANDY every detail was studied to offer the best performance and comfort along with a unique design aesthetics. The covers can be made with all the outdoor fabrics of RODA collections. The removable DANDY fabric covers are fixed to the structure through totally hidden straps of Velcro.

HYDRO DRAINING STUFFING:

The introduction of fabrics coated with Teflon or water-repellent represents an important technological score which allows the production of waterproof cushions. But these products have a defect: they don’t allow the stuffing to breath. This detail is very significant, if we consider that mould and parasites could develop inside the stuffing. Roda has solved this problem by making the cushions with materials which enable the stuffing to breath and, at the same time, make them resistant to every weather condition.
