Samuel Wilkinson was born in Devon in 1977. In 2002 he graduated in furniture and related products from the Ravensboure College of Art & Design, in the same year he won the RSA Award and D & AD New Blood. In 2003 he started working at Fitch: London and at PearsonLloyd as Freelance Industrial Designer. A year later he started working at Tangerine as a Freelance Industrial Designer. In 2007 he started Samuel Wilkinson industrial design studio. In 2008 he co-designed L'arbre de Flonville in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has received numerous awards including: (2002) D & AD New Blood, (2002) RSA Design Award, (2010) Best British Design (bucking the trend), (2011) British Insurance Design of the Year, London Design Museum Product Award, London Design Museum, (2011) D & AD Black Pencil, (2011) Eco Designer of the Year and (2011) Award Index (Finalist). |
