Shadowy and Sunny possess an extraordinary grace. Their forms bring to mind the beach chairs of Northern Europe in the 1920s, made contemporary through the use of colourful digital patterns incorporated into the design. They are handcrafted by local artisans in Dakar, Senegal. Boontje’s exuberant design, combined with a long-standing craft tradition, gives rise to a wonderfully exotic and evocative pair, featuring curious and playful curls at the ends.
