In all his great creativity, the designer Rashid broke the old patterns of classic umbrella stand planning an appealing-design object in an ironic and functional way, with a strong mark linked to the designer himself.

Frame in LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) achieved by rotational moulding. UV protection. 100% recyclable, solution dyed. High degree of mechanical strenght and resistance to impacts.

Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation. More than 3000 production projects, more than 300 awards and works in more than 40 nations make Karim a legend in the design world.
Karim's touch goes beyond product and interior design, such as the Morimoto restaurant in Philadelphia, the Semiramis hotel in Athens, the nhow hotel in Berlin, the University of Naples subway station, and the design exhibition for Deutsche Bank and Audi.
Karim's work is present in 20 permanent collections; Exhibits in art galleries all over the world. Karim has won the Red Dot Design Award several times; The Good Design Prize of the University of Chicago, I. D. Magazine Annual Design Review, the IDSA Award for Excellence in Industrial Design.
Karim is often invited as a visiting professor at universities and conferences, thus promoting the importance of design in everyday life. He received honors from Honoris Causae from Toronto's OCAD and from the Corcoran College of Art & Design in Washington. Karim's works have been published in magazines and books including Time, Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Wallpaper and countless others.
