Orson Director Lounge Chair

Director’s lounge chair from the Orson collection. A collection of folding outdoor seating that offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic director’s chair. A complete project that follows the tradition of outdoor furniture designed to be stored away at the end of the summer season. Thanks to its convenient folding system, which allows it to stand upright on its own, Orson features a fresh and innovative design, enhanced by structural Batyline fabric that also wraps the sides and allows the chair to be used without cushions. The structure is made of solid teak, refined with electropolished AISI 304 stainless steel details.

Roda - Missoni Collection:

Even in the folding ORSON seats, with a teak structure that reinterprets the classic director’s chair in a contemporary key, the collaboration with Missoni becomes a distinctive feature, making the collection increasingly unmistakable. Made of acrylic yarn with various jacquard weaves, the fabrics are oDered in five iconic Missoni patterns - Riva, Bamboo, Opera, Spiga, Duna - which meet the essential technical and performance characteristics of Roda outdoor fabrics, once again combining aesthetics and functionality in perfect balance. The first application involved the four models of the ORSON director’s chair collection (011, 001, 002, 003). On the sides of chairs 001 and 002, the fabric fully replaced the batyline, as it is not structurally required in that area. For backrests and seats, batyline was retained for its structural role and paired with the fabric. A medium-thickness layer of hydrodrenating upholstery, like that used in HD cushions, was added between the two materials to harmonize their interaction and eliminate wrinkles and folds.
