Details

The simplicity of wood, a great comfort, a slim structure not separated from strong resistance to stress. Frida is born from the experimentation in the application of a thin structure in solid oak to a thin shell in plywood realized with the technology of the three-dimensional veneer, which gives comfort to the seat and a new contemporary appeal to the wood.

Odo Fioravanti
 

Odoardo Fioravanti si è laureato in Industrial Design presso la Facoltà del Design del Politecnico di Milano. Dal 2003 si occupa di industrial design, sperimentando anche la grafica e l’exhibition design. I suoi progetti hanno ricevuto importanti riconoscimenti a livello internazionale ed è stato docente presso numerose scuole di design e università come il Politecnico di Milano, l’Università Iuav di Venezia, la Domus Academy e l’Haute école d'art et de design (Head) di Ginevra. I lavori di Fioravanti sono stati esposti in diverse esposizioni internazionali, tra cui spicca la mostra personale “Industrious Design”, tenutasi nel 2010 al Design Museum della Triennale di Milano. Nel 2011 ha vinto il premio Compasso d’Oro ADI con la sedia in legno Frida di Pedrali. Svolge inoltre l’attività di pubblicista per riviste del settore design, cercando di esplorare le nuove frontiere del progetto come disciplina.
