The Bahama deckchair is a classic of EMU production. Born in 1978, this design was relaunched in 2013 through the addition of numerous new color combinations. STEEL TECHNICAL NOTES:
An alloy of iron and carbon, with a carbon percentage of less than 2%, the steel has properties that vary depending on the chemical composition (amount of carbon and quantity of other binder elements), the thermosetting treatments and the production process. In addition to the choice of steel, Emu expresses the rich technological know-how of the company through innovative patented surface protection procedures with the major chemical industries in the sector. In the first phase the material is degreased, pickled, activated and covered with a microcrystalline phosphate layer which allows high anti-corrosive performance after painting. After this initial treatment, the furniture is painted with a process of cathodic electrodeposition (cataphoresis) which is the most advanced technological result of the protection of metals by painting and provides an immersion tank in which the paint product is diluted with water and its deposition on the material to be treated, it is made by a continuous electric field. The cabinet, covered with a homogeneous cataphoresis film of 30 microns thick, is applied, by means of powders, a thickness of about 80 microns of colored polyester which, after a firing phase, makes the furniture take on the final appearance.
