Antonio Citterio was born in Meda in 1950, graduated in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and in the same year founded his first studio. In 1999 he founded "Antonio Citterio and Partners" with Patricia Viel, headquartered in Milan and in Hamburg. The scope of the study is very vast: architecture, design, corporate image, communication. It builds and furnishes establishments, offices, hotels in Italy and abroad: in September 2006 the Bulgari Resort in Bali was inaugurated and in 2007 Bulgari Restaurant and Cafè in Tokyo. In the field of industrial design he works for the most important Italian and foreign companies: Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor-Hansgrohe, Aubrilam, B&B Italy, Flexform, Flos, Fusital, Guzzini, Iittala, Inda, Kartell, Sanitec Group - Pozzi Ginori, Simon Urmet, Technogym, Three More, Vitra. Maxalto, an Italian brand of B&B, is designed and coordinated entirely by Antonio Citterio. He represents the excellence of Italian design in its contemporary version. He received the prestigious "Compasso d'oro" award in 1987 and 1995. Some of his works are part of the permanent exhibition of MoMA and Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. |
