ADAM WOOD is Kartell’s first real bookcase for living areas. The shapes of its curved wooden shelves and 3-D painted steel frame have been optimised by CAD systems to reduce the use of materials and energy while creating an extremely elegant and robust structure. This super-lightweight bookcase can be purchased and put up in next to no time. Adam Wood is an item of furnishing that can give a room a whole new personality thanks to its unique modularity. Bookcases can be placed next to each other to increase storage capacity and shelves can be installed at different heights to create unique, personal configurations. Adam Wood comes in dark wood with a black frame or in black wood with a black frame.

Philippe Starck

Born on January 18, 1949 in Paris, Philippe Starck is considered the number one of the European designers, as well as performing designing architect (he has designed numerous venues in Paris, New York and Tokyo).
Still a student at Notre Dame of Saint Croix in Neully, he creates an inflatable structure company funded by French actor Lino Ventura. In 1970 he created the "Easy Light" light system, before its editions to be edited. In 1981, the meeting with Jean-Louis Costes allowed Starck to conceive, three years after the renovation of the famous Café Costes, in Place des Innocents, in the first district of Paris. He won major awards such as the Grand Prix National de The Création Industrielle (1988) and the Honor Award of the American Institute of Architetcts in 1992 for the Paramount Hotel in New York. He holds a major teaching activity.
In 2000 she redesigned the entire collection of Emeco, the American company considered an American classic, producing the legendary Navy chair, the hand-finished aluminum hand designed for the US Navy that is found in Hollywood movies, New York's bars, In the villas of Frank Gehry.
